Your skills will directly impact our ability to deliver exceptional service while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Operate lowboy trailers equipped with manual transmissions to transport heavy machinery, construction equipment, and oversized loads. Safely load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate tools such as forklifts or other lifting equipment when necessary. Drive tractor-trailers over long distances or local routes, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Manage route driving efficiently, planning trips to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation for compliance and reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Proven truck driving experience with a focus on commercial driving, preferably with lowboy or flatbed trailers. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles is a plus. Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or cranes. Experience navigating diverse routes including urban areas, highways, construction sites, and remote locations. Knowledge of safety protocols related to transporting oversized or specialized loads on tractor-trailers. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation; additional certifications like forklift operation are advantageous. Strong understanding of load securement techniques for flatbed or refrigerated freight to prevent shifting during transit.
