Full Job Description Job Title:
Hazmat Driver (Asbestos Abatement) Job Description JJ&S Environmental Services specializes in asbestos, lead, mold, and biohazard removal in residential and commercial buildings across California. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hazmat Driver to join our growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe transportation and disposal of hazardous materials while complying with all safety regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport hazardous materials, including asbestos waste, to approved disposal sites. Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and AQMD regulations during transport and handling. Load, secure, and unload materials following proper safety protocols. Maintain accurate transportation logs and documentation. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist on-site teams with containment setup, demolition, and clean-up as needed. Follow all company policies and safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement. 1+ years of experience in asbestos abatement, hazardous waste transportation, or related field (preferred). Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations related to hazardous materials. Ability to lift and transport heavy materials as required. Asbestos Certification (Preferred)
