Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated and flatbed trucks, along over-the-road (OTR) routes within your local region Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes, maintaining punctuality and efficiency Transport automobile parts, freight, or other cargo, ensuring secure loading and unloading using manual handling techniques and logistics cargo handling best practices Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck safety, including checking for compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and truck loading/unloading procedures Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route status, delivery updates, or any issues encountered during trips Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving or over-the-road (OTR) routes Valid commercial driver's license (CDL), preferably with endorsements Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tractor-trailers, or tanker trucks is highly desirable Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations Skilled in automatic and truck loading/unloading procedures Ability to navigate using GPS systems accurately while adhering to safety standards Strong manual handling skills for safe cargo handling and load securing techniques Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits and compliance with all safety protocols Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills keep goods moving efficiently while enjoying the comfort of being home daily.
