Milpitas CA Position Summary The Transportation / Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of finished goods, raw materials, supplies, and equipment between company facilities, suppliers, and customer locations. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed efficiently while maintaining compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate company vehicles safely and professionally in accordance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Transport finished products, raw materials, tools, equipment, and other company assets to designated locations. Load, unload, secure, and inspect cargo to prevent damage during transport. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and report maintenance or safety concerns. Verify shipping documents, delivery receipts, packing slips, and inventory records. Obtain customer signatures and maintain accurate delivery documentation. Coordinate deliveries and pickups with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production teams. Ensure materials are delivered on schedule to support manufacturing operations and customer requirements. Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles. Follow company safety procedures and use proper material handling techniques. Assist with warehouse, inventory, shipping, or receiving activities when not performing driving duties. Respond professionally to customers, vendors, and internal employees. Report accidents, delays, vehicle issues, or delivery discrepancies promptly. Comply with company quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to meet company driving and insurance requirements. Minimum 1-3 years of delivery, transportation, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving requirements, as applicable. Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment preferred. Ability to read, understand, and complete shipping and delivery documentation. Strong time management and organizational skills. Good communication and customer service abilities. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull for extended periods. Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles frequently throughout the day. Ability to work in warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor environments. Ability to safely operate vehicles and material handling equipment. Working Conditions Combination of driving, warehouse, manufacturing, and outdoor work environments. Exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries and pickups. May require overtime, early morning starts, or occasional weekend work based on business needs.
