We are thrilled to bring our exceptional service to the micro-transit system in Milpitas. Our drivers are part of the groundbreaking initiative to provide affordable ride-share service to the general public. SilverRide was established in 2007 in San Francisco as a service to assist senior citizens and people with disabilities with their transportation needs. Since then, we have expanded to over a dozen states and continue our mission to improve lives with our high quality service. Our best-in-class drivers treat every rider with care, respect, and a truly personalized approach. The job will require use of a 2022 or newer minivan; if you do not have your own, we can arrange for a discounted rental for you at a rate of $125/week. Current needs are for the following blocks of time: M-F 6am-9am and 2pm-7pm. Essential Requirements Must use your own minivan or lease a minivan; we can help to arrange this. Must have a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record (no more than 2 minor moving violations in the past 3 years) Must have valid driver's vehicle insurance Must be able to communicate fluently in English Must be 21 or older and have had a license for minimum 3 years Must be able to pass a background check; no felonies or DUI/DWIs will be accepted Credentials Each of our clients require different levels of credentialing. Credentialing can include items on the list below. If you, as an independent contractor, do not have the level of credentialing a particular client needs, or they require that all new drivers for their contract take certain training again, SilverRide can either provide that training to help get you on the platform or point you to where you can get it on your own. Pre-employment drug testing; random drug testing once employed DOT Physical (medical certificate) Defensive Driving course completion CPR certification Compensation We pay $29/hour, from zone entry to zone exit $200 sign-on bonus with first paycheck Pay is weekly by direct deposit We offer occupational accident insurance which is the almost the same as worker's comp - even though you are an independent 1099 contractor!
