This isn't your typical driving job. You'll be operating next-generation semi-trucks equipped with advanced driver-assistance and autonomous systems , helping engineers test, validate, and improve real-world performance. What You'll Do 🚛 Safely operate semi-trucks (53' dry vans), straight trucks, and passenger vehicles in both controlled test environments and public roads 🧪 Support real-world testing of driver-assistance and autonomous systems 🔍 Perform detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIRs) 📝 Provide clear, structured feedback to engineering teams on vehicle and system performance 🔄 Assist with additional fleet or operational tasks as needed What Makes This Role Unique Work with state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle technology Be part of a fast-growing, innovative company shaping the future of transportation Mix of driving and technical work — not just behind the wheel all day Opportunity to collaborate directly with engineers and tech teams What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with current medical card 5+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience Experience safely operating and backing 53' dry vans Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Ability to pass: DOT physical & drug screening Background check Road test Comfortable driving for extended periods Willingness to travel up to 50% Safety Requirements (Strict) No more than 2 minor moving violations in the past 3 years No serious traffic violations in the past 5 years No DUI/DWI/reckless driving (last 10 years) No preventable accidents in the past 3 years No DOT-recordable accidents in the past 10 years Ideal Candidate Safety-focused with strong attention to detail Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable following structured procedures and protocols Strong communicator — able to clearly describe issues and observations Interested in autonomous vehicle and driver-assist technology Schedule & Work Environment 🗓 Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 🚛 Semi-truck driving: ~10-20 hours every other week 🚗 Remaining time: testing and operating standard vehicles 🏢 Fully on-site in Mountain View, CA Why Apply?
