This position plays an important role in supporting the company's recycling operations by ensuring materials are picked up, transported, and delivered safely and in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position requires reliability, professionalism, attention to detail, physical capability, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Level:
Team Member Primary Responsibilities -Driver Collection & Transportation:
Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries of electronic waste using company vehicles.Loading & Unloading:
Safely load, secure, transport, and unload electronic equipment and materials at customer locations and designated facilities.Route Management:
Follow assigned routes and schedules while completing pickups efficiently and on time.Customer Service:
Interact with customers in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner while representing the company.Vehicle Inspections:
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle or safety concerns immediately.Safe Driving:
Operate company vehicles safely and comply with all applicable traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company driving policies.Load Securement:
Ensure all materials are properly secured before transportation to prevent shifting, damage, or safety hazards.Documentation:
Accurately complete customer tickets, route sheets, pickup documentation, inspection reports, and other required paperwork.Communication:
Maintain communication with dispatch and management regarding route status, delays, customer concerns, or other issues.Safety Compliance:
Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).Equipment Care:
Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of assigned company vehicles and equipment.Experience/Skills Required Valid Driver's License:
Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. No DUIs within the last five years.Physical Stamina:
Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 70 lbs and perform loading and unloading duties.Driving Experience:
Ability to safely operate company vehicles and navigate assigned pickup and delivery routes.Customer Service:
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.Reliability:
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to follow assigned schedules.Organization:
Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and documentation.Safety Awareness:
Strong commitment to safe driving, proper material handling, and company safety procedures.Teamwork:
Ability to work effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, management, and other team members. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Basic reading, writing, and note-taking skills Basic computer or electronic knowledge helpful Ability to meet company driver eligibility and insurance requirementsPay:
