A SECOND SHIFT
drivers for local work including port and rail work. Must have at least 2 years with CDL and driving experience. Drivers must have TWIC cardsResponsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers
- Transport freight to various destinations in a timely manner
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatch to receive instructions and updates on routes and schedules
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and compliance
Qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and driving experience of 2 years
- Ability to safely operate different types of trucks and trailers
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
- No convictions for a "serious traffic violation" within the last three (3) years.
