Job Description
We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner in the San Jose/San Francisco bay area. Responsibilities Transport Cylinders and Merchandise over land to and from retail store to customer's location and/or work site. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Follow and Finish Planned routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Load/Unload Equipment & Cylinders onto trucks Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Random Drug Testing Heavy lifting (60lbs+) Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver Hardworking Team Player with Good Customer Service Communication Reliable and pays attention to detail Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations- Provide Motor Vehicle Report Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid CA commercial driving license- Class B (Hazmat Endorsement is Required for this position) Handling Gas Cylinders is a PLUS, not required, we will train. Operate Forklift (Will train to Certify) Good Communications Be familiar with the Bay Area Grow with the company Must be on
