On-Call Class A Driver:

Transportation of Goods :

Safely operate a Class A truck to transport goods to and from various locations, including warehouses, distribution centers, and client sites.

Drop and Hook :

Perform "drop and hook" operations, which involve dropping off an unloaded trailer and hooking up a loaded one for transport.

Touch Freight :

In some assignments, manually handle, load, and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and safety of items during transport.

Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections :

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and equipment to ensure everything is in good working order and safe to drive.

Customer Interaction :

Interact with clients or warehouse personnel when delivering or picking up freight, ensuring professional communication and providing excellent customer service. Compliance with

Regulations :

Adhere to all DOT regulations, including driving hours, weight limits, and safety protocols, ensuring legal compliance throughout each assignment.

Flexible Availability :

Be available for day-by-day assignments, ready to work various shifts, and respond promptly when called for on-call shifts. Must be adaptable to last-minute requests.

Compensation:

Pay range : $24 - $30 per hour, depending on the assignment

Job Requirements:

Minimum 12 months of Class A driving experience Port experience and a TWIC card are a plus and may increase your opportunities for additional assignments No violations or accidents on your driving record Must be open to all shifts and available on an on-call, day-by-day basis Ability to travel to various client sites in the Inland Empire (IE) area and Los Angeles area

Wage Range:

23.00 - 30.00 per hour
