Job Description
Atlas Disposal Industries is a locally owned and operated waste management company with over 25 years of experience serving communities in California, Utah, and Arizona. As a Roll Off CDL Driver, you will play a vital role in safely operating heavy-duty trucks to transport large containers to disposal, recycling, and customer sites. This position is ideal for individuals who are safety-focused, reliable, and enjoy working independently while contributing to a team that values service and efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks to transport open-top, roll-top, and compactor containers to designated locations, including disposal sites, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and customer properties. Navigate high-traffic areas, driveways, alleyways, and tight spaces, performing skilled backing maneuvers as needed. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings using standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR). Follow assigned routes for container delivery and pickup, ensuring containers are properly placed and locations are left clean and free of debris. Utilize a computerized mobile tablet to track route progress, complete stops, and enter relevant notes and landfill information. Report unsafe situations, service issues, incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage promptly to Supervisor or Dispatch. Attend required training sessions, briefings, and meetings as scheduled. Collaborate with Dispatch and Supervisors to improve route efficiency and support team operations as needed. Qualifications Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement. At least 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience. Eligible to work in the United States. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to pass regular drug screenings, pre-employment physical, and background checks. Compensation $26$30 per hour , full-time, hourly position. Shifts typically run Monday through Friday starting at 5:00 a.m., with 1011 hour days and a Saturday shift approximately every three weeks.
