Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Driver, Delivering SOD and take charge of delivering freight safely, efficiently, and on schedule. In this vital role, you'll operate tractor-trailers across various local routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, across assigned routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload freight using proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules and optimize fuel consumption Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checks on refrigeration units, brakes, tires, lights, and load securement Document delivery activities accurately, including logs for hours of service, cargo manifests, and incident reports Maintain compliance with all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, cargo handling, and hazardous materials transportation Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving preferred Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and perform truck loading/unloading tasks efficiently
