Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Truck Driver and become a vital link in delivering essential freight across diverse routes! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and more. You'll be responsible for safely transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and security. Drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers for temperature-sensitive goods, flatbeds for large or irregular loads, tankers for liquids, and specialized vehicles like dump trucks or roll-off trucks. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and driving time. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a focus on freight delivery; prior experience with delivery driver roles is highly valued. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the types of trucks operated (e.g., tanker endorsement if applicable). Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with proficiency in tractor-trailer driving techniques. Familiarity with different truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Experience in load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Knowledge of safety protocols related to freight handling and route driving to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and performing routine vehicle inspections confidently.
