Part-Time / On-Call Shuttle Driver•Santa Rosa SMART Route Code 3 Transportation is hiring a dependable Part-Time / On-Call Shuttle Driver to provide coverage for our established SMART shuttle route in Santa Rosa, CA. We are specifically looking for someone who wants flexible, supplemental work and has a very open schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone who does not need a guaranteed five-day workweek but wants to pick up work as needed and become a reliable part of our coverage team .
What We're Looking For:
The right candidate will have strong availability and flexibility. Coverage may be needed for scheduled days off, vacations, call-outs, and occasionally on short notice. We are looking for someone who: Has a flexible/open schedule and can work weekdays and/or weekends Is interested in part-time, supplemental, and on-call work Can occasionally accept last-minute coverage Is available for multiple consecutive days or extended temporary assignments when needed Is dependable and follows through once a shift is accepted Provides excellent customer service and maintains a friendly, professional attitude Is comfortable driving an established scheduled shuttle route This is an on-call/relief position, so a specific number of hours per week is not guaranteed. However, there may be opportunities for extended periods of regular route coverage.
REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED You must have held a valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement for at least 3 years. We cannot accept applicants with less than 3 years of qualifying CDL driving experience.
MINIMUM AGE
REQUIRED Applicants must be at least 25 years old to meet our commercial insurance eligibility requirements.
DOT MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
REQUIRED You must have a current, valid DOT Medical Certificate and maintain it throughout employment.
DRIVING RECORD
REQUIRED You must have a clean and acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.
DRUG & ALCOHOL TESTING
REQUIRED This is a safety-sensitive driving position. Drivers are subject to pre-employment testing and enrollment in a DOT-compliant random drug and alcohol testing program as required.
BACKGROUND/PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING
REQUIRED You must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening.
RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
REQUIRED You must have reliable transportation to and from the Santa Rosa route location .

Route Schedule:
When accepting an assignment, you must be available for the entire scheduled shift.
The position itself is based in Santa Rosa, CA. Code 3 Transportation's main office is located in Concord, CA , but we understand that Santa Rosa-area candidates may not want to travel to Concord just for an initial interview. Initial interviews may be conducted via Zoom. Candidates selected to move forward may then be invited to meet in person in the Santa Rosa route area.
