CDL CLASS B DRIVER W/TANKER ENDORCEMENT & AIR BRAKES JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for transporting petroleum products to and from specified destinations. Monday-Friday 6:30AM-3:00PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operates a truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations. Loads, secures and unloads cargo. Prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service. Maintains telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up. Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations. May be responsible for vehicle maintenance and presentation. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Must be licensed to operate a Class B truck in California. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Must have "Tank Vehicle" endorsement, Hazmat endorsement Product receipt and shipment . Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials or other packaged items. Fill customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or convey orders to packing station or shipping stations. Prepare customer orders by assembling product on pallets. Read production schedules, customer orders, and work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed. Off load bulk lubricants on trucks into tanks, totes, or drums. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed (custody log). Product storage . Fill drums or containers. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in drums according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code. Mark materials with required identifying information. Move stock, and other materials to and from storage areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, and containers by hand or using hand trucks, drum dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Connect hoses and operate equipment to move liquid materials into and out of storage tanks and into totes, drums or other containers. Pack and unpack products to be stocked on shelves in warehouse. Store items in warehouse in an orderly and accessible manner

Education/Experience Required:

Class B drivers license. High school diploma or GED. Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; able to write simple correspondence. Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Able to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Able to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance. Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.. Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, drum dollies, and pumps.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, balance, climb, and reach overhead. Must be able to handle (using both hands and arms and rotation of the hand or wrist). Must be able to manipulate fingers to pick, pinch or, otherwise working with fingers primarily. Must be able to walk, sit and stand for an extended period of time. Must be able to carry, push, pull, and lift in excess of 100 pounds. Must be able to engage in coherent speech and possess capacity to hear loud and soft noises.
