Full Job Description Salary :

• 34/hr
• no overtime pay We are a contractor for FedEx. We have consistent runs 7 days a week that move trailers from terminal to terminal in and around the Bay Area. Full-time position, overnight run that is home daily. If on a team run (two drivers) we pay . 70
• 80c/mile (depending on experience) for the miles you drive.

Typical team runs are a total of 3,000-5,800 miles over 3-5 days.

Trucking Time:

Home daily but opportunity to rotate on a team run (OTR together with another driver). Nightly local runs

Responsibilities :

• No cargo handling! Drop and hook only
• Safely operate towing double-pup trailers about 2/3 of the time
• Transport goods and materials to designated locations
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance

Experience:

• Minimum of 1
• years
• of tractor-trailer experience
• Experience with route driving and navigating different terrains
• Doubles endorsement

Preferred:

Able to hook up doubles

Skills :

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class A with double endorsements.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents in the last 2 years
• Ability to operate trucks safely in various weather conditions and environments
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and dispatchers
• Attention to detail for accurately completing paperwork and maintaining records
