Love being on the road and being part of what happens behind the scenes? We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused driver to join our team supporting professional lighting, audio, video, staging, and rigging equipment for upcoming events. This is an on-call, part-time position based out of our Yorba Linda warehouse. You'll primarily drive routes throughout Southern California, transporting production equipment to and from job sites, vendors, clients, and our warehouse. We have routes available for Class C drivers, as well as routes for drivers with a Class A or Class B CDL.

Part-Time, On-Call Hours vary based on business and production needs. Some weeks may have substantial hours, while others may have minimal or no hours. The position averages approximately 30 hours per week over the course of the year; however, weekly hours are not guaranteed. Routes are primarily throughout Southern California, with occasional out-of-town, multi-day trips. Applicants must live within 25 miles of Yorba Linda, CA. What You'll Be Doing Safely operate assigned company trucks and delivery vehicles. Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 26,000 lbs., as permitted by your license and applicable regulations. Transport road cases and production equipment between our warehouse, job sites, vendors, and clients. Load, organize, secure, and unload equipment safely and efficiently. Organize equipment in a logical and safe manner to accommodate multiple pickups and deliveries. Ensure all equipment is properly secured inside the vehicle to prevent damage and maintain safety while in transit. Confirm shipment contents against manifests and obtain required signatures or warehouse scans to complete deliveries. Utilize our truck-routing platform for route management, inspections, and documentation. Complete vehicle inspections before and after each trip. Coordinate routes and delivery timing with the Fleet Manager, warehouse team, and dispatch. Monitor weather, traffic, and road conditions before and during routes. Keep company vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for use, including checking tire pressure, DEF, and other general vehicle needs. Communicate vehicle maintenance and service needs to management. Report any maintenance concerns, accidents, delays, or delivery issues promptly. Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs. Track and report working hours through the When I Work application. Assist warehouse staff and customers with loading and unloading as needed. Help with shop and warehouse duties when not assigned to a driving route. Follow all company policies, Driver SOPs, traffic laws, safety requirements, and applicable DOT regulations. Make safety a priority at all times. Represent AMP'D professionally when interacting with clients, vendors, and production teams. Jump in wherever the team needs an extra hand. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required. Valid Class C Driver's License required. Class A or Class B CDL is a plus. 8+ years of experience driving large trucks preferred. Clean driving record with no moving violations. Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening. Confident, skilled, and safety-conscious behind the wheel. Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented. Comfortable using GPS, routing applications, and mobile technology. Able to remain alert and focused while driving for extended periods. Able to stay calm and make good decisions in changing traffic, weather, and delivery conditions. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Flexible availability for varying schedules and shifts based on production needs. Available for local routes and occasional out-of-town, multi-day trips. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, electric lifts, or similar equipment is a plus. Experience with live event, production, A/V, or similar equipment is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements This is an active position. Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment. Safely load and unload road cases and production equipment. Perform repetitive motions and safely handle equipment. Work around trucks, warehouse equipment, changing temperatures, weather conditions, and typical production environments.
