Our snow clients depend on us to keep their properties safe and accessible before employees, customers, and visitors arrive. That requires experienced operators who take reliability, communication, safety, and quality seriously. About the Position We are hiring an experienced Snow Plow Truck Operator for the 2026-2027 winter season. This position operates company-owned plow trucks and material spreaders at commercial properties throughout Northern Colorado. Applicants must have previous professional plowing experience and be capable of operating independently after completing our preseason equipment and route orientation. Storm Availability and Commitment This is a weather-dependent, on-call position without a fixed weekly schedule. Snow events may require overnight, early-morning, weekend, holiday, or extended shifts. Applicants must commit to every assigned snow event throughout the season. This is not a flexible call list where employees decide event by event whether to accept work. When winter weather is forecasted, operators must remain reachable, report when directed, and remain on duty until their route is complete or they are released by management. Applicants should not accept this position if another work schedule or obligation could regularly prevent them from reporting during a storm. Responsibilities Safely operate company-owned pickup trucks equipped with snowplows and material spreaders Clear commercial parking lots, drive lanes, entrances, loading areas, and designated access points Apply salt and deicing materials according to site requirements and supervisor instructions Follow property maps, route plans, service priorities, and designated snow-stacking locations Perform pre-event and post-event equipment inspections Report equipment concerns, property damage, hazardous conditions, and service issues immediately Maintain consistent communication with the snow operations supervisor throughout each event Accurately document service times, site conditions, material usage, and completed work Refuel, clean, and properly stage equipment following each shift Assist with sidewalk clearing or other snow-removal duties when operationally necessary Operate safely around parked vehicles, pedestrians, buildings, curbs, landscaping, and other obstacles Required Qualifications At least one full season of professional experience operating a pickup-mounted snowplow in commercial lots or similar environments Ability to safely and independently operate a three-quarter-ton or one-ton plow truck Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company's insurance provider Reliable transportation to the assigned staging location Strong awareness when working in tight spaces and around vehicles, curbs, islands, and structures Ability to follow site maps, route instructions, and deicing requirements Dependable phone service and the ability to respond promptly to storm communications Ability to work outdoors during snow, ice, wind, darkness, and extreme cold Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical snow-removal work when needed Absolute dependability during assigned snow events Preferred Experience Experience operating BOSS or SnowEx plows and spreaders Commercial parking-lot plowing experience Experience applying bulk or bagged deicing materials Experience working from route plans and property-specific snow maps Experience documenting professional snow and ice management services A CDL is not required for the trucks currently assigned to this position.
