Job Description

Taylor Excavating & Underground LLC is hiring a Class A CDL Driver.
General Statement of Duties :
Operate various types and sizes of trucks, tractors, and trailers, on and off highway, according to local, state, federal and company regulations. Driver is also responsible for keeping vehicle and cab of vehicle clean.
Supervision Received :
Reports directly to the job-site supervisor.
Typical Physical Demands :
Requires full range of body motion including handling and operating levers or controls, manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires use of foot controlled pedals and sitting for extensive periods of time. Occasionally requires lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying items weighing up to 75 lbs. Also requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions.
Typical Working Conditions :
Frequent exposure to rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, cold, noise, vibration and other conditions common to a construction site. Contractual obligations may require irregular hours, out of town work, overnight stays, nights, weekends and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Ability to drive/operate and maintain applicable vehicle. Have the ability to successfully maneuver vehicle forward and backward. Possess the knowledge and ability to maintain and perform all paperwork in accordance with Federal, State and/or company requirements. Must be able to read English road signs, understand spoken English commands, write legible reports and perform simple math.
Certificate/License :
Valid and active CDL (Including passing a DOT drug/alcohol and physical exam). Endorsement for tankers/doubles/triples/hazardous materials is advantageous but not required.
