We are seeking a reliable and skilled Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent driving skills. Our drivers transport crude oil from well sites to offload sites, that are typically local hauls. Typical work schedule is 6 days on, 1 day off, 12-14 hour shifts. As a Hazmat Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting hazardous materials while adhering to safety regulations. This role requires a valid CDL A, along with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your core skills in truck and commercial driving will be essential, while your premium skills in operating manual transmission vehicles and handling specialized trailers will enhance your effectiveness.
•Current position is for a day and night shift position.
•Responsibilities Safely operate and drive assigned trucks to transport crude oil to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo as required, utilizing forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, oil loaded and delivered. Ensure proper handling of tanker. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Perform routine maintenance on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance. Qualifications 25 years of age Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. 2 years verifiable class A fluid hauling experience required (water, acid, fuel, etc.) Hazmat and tanker endorsements required Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Ability to drive 18 speed manual required Eperience driving in adverse winter conditions (off road experience) required Experience chaining preferred, willingness to learn required Must be willing to work outside in the elements required Ability to handle route driving efficiently while adhering to schedules. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
