Monday-Friday, 6:00

AM-Finish Overtime:

Available/possible depending on workload Position Overview Our client is looking for a dependable Yard Associate / Return Processor to join their lumber yard team. This position will primarily be responsible for processing materials that are returned by customers, inspecting and organizing returned products, and helping keep the yard clean, safe, and organized. This is a hands-on, physical position that is a great fit for someone who enjoys working outdoors and staying busy. Responsibilities Process and organize customer returns coming back to the lumber yard Inspect returned lumber and building materials for condition and quality Sort, stack, and put materials back into the appropriate locations Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard Move materials throughout the yard using proper equipment and safe work practices Assist other yard team members with daily tasks and material handling Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Perform other general yard duties as needed Qualifications Previous lumber yard, building materials, warehouse, or general yard experience preferred Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift Ability to lift, carry, and move lumber and other building materials Strong attention to detail when inspecting and sorting returned materials Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift experience is a plus, but not required Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, hardworking, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a physical yard environment. Someone with previous lumber yard or building-materials experience would be a strong fit, but we are also open to candidates with solid warehouse or general labor experience who are willing to learn.
