East Hartford, CT Schedule:
M-F 5:30a
•until deliveries are completed Pay rate: $22
•26 DOE Over time as needed
Job Duties:
Operate a Class B CDL flatbed delivery truck Deliver doors, door frames, and construction materials to commercial and residential customers Load, secure, transport, and unload materials Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and delivery paperwork Use material-handling equipment as needed Communicate professionally with customers and the office Follow all DOT/FMCSA and company safety requirements Work independently on most deliveries
Delivery Territory:
Approximately 90% Connecticut, with occasional deliveries to Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class B license Clean driving record 2+ years of Class B experience preferred Construction, building-material, flatbed, or delivery experience is a plus Candidates with 3-6 months of construction/building-material experience are encouraged to apply Strong safety and customer-service mindset Comfortable working independently and outdoors
Physical Requirements:
This is an active delivery position. Candidates must be comfortable lifting and handling construction materials, including doors and door frames weighing up to approximately 110 lbs. , climbing onto trailers, securing loads, and working at active job sites.
