Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, including refrigerated trailers, hazardous materials, and various cargo types across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route planning, and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic transportation operation committed to excellence and safety. Duties Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes Load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securing and compliance with logistics cargo handling standards Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records in line with FMCSA and DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation methods Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard materials regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards for truck loading/unloading Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely Strong navigation skills using GPS systems for efficient route planning on OTR routes Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with all federal and state transportation laws Join our team as a Driver if you're passionate about safe driving, delivering freight efficiently, and maintaining the highest standards of cargo security!
