In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and heavy equipment to deliver materials, equipment, and supplies efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving and heavy lifting will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment where your driving skills and mechanical knowledge make a real impact. Duties Safely operate a variety of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to transport goods and materials. Load and unload cargo using manual or mechanical methods, ensuring secure placement for transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking mechanical components and fluid levels. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation and delivery processes. Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks and specialized equipment. Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with delivery routes involving heavy lifting and various truck types such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or roll-offs. Mechanical knowledge of truck systems to perform basic troubleshooting and inspections. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles comfortably. Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo. Familiarity with different truck types including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
