The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering products to various locations while ensuring timely and safe transportation. This role requires excellent driving skills, familiarity with route navigation, and a commitment to customer service. As a Route Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our delivery schedule and ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Operate delivery vans, in a safe and efficient manner. Navigate assigned routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload products using manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with knowledge of route driving techniques. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes. Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission is preferred. Proficient in using a pallet jack for loading and unloading goods. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping. Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules consistently. Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) as required during deliveries. Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain one is encouraged.
