Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver/Laborer to join our team. This role involves operating Town vehicles to transport materials and assisting with various labor tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible, safety-conscious, and capable of handling physical work while maintaining a professional attitude. Responsibilities Perform routine repairs, maintenance and construction activities on streets, roads, bridges, storm sewers, drainage pipes, ditches, buildings and other municipal facilities. Operate Trucks, mowers, sweepers on road maintenance and street construction. Responsible for grass, wood cutting and tree trimming/ removal. Loads and unloads trucks, performs minor maintenance work and services vehicles. Assist in cleaning out properties due to eviction. Move voting machines to proper voting locations. Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicles Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly to management Experience Valid CDL driver's license with endorsements Prior experience in snowplowing/ road maintenance Backhoe, sweeper, loader, chainsaw, and small tools experience preferred Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods lifting up to 80lbs. OSHA 10 hour training preferred Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately Work Schedule Regular full-time schedule with potential for overtime, on-call, or emergency response as needed Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $31.90/ hour Comprehensive benefits package including: health, dental, vision, and life insurance, health savings account, retirement plan, paid time off, holidays, and employee assistance program.
