Job Description
Hull Forest Products, Inc., the leading manufacture of wood products is looking for a full-time experienced CDL A Truck Driver. As the truck driver, you are
HOME EVERY NIGHT
, and can enjoy the flexible working hours. Job description- Transport containers of logs or lumber from yards to the appointed ports
- Communicate with the log yard operator, lumber warehouse manager and logistics department to plan the container transportation on daily and weekly basis
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions as required
- Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for delivery or pick up of goods
- Document work periods and kilometres spend driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Maintains text or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery and pick up
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as the company's policies and procedures
- Respect defects, accidents or violations Qualifications
- A valid Class A CDL with a clean MVR
- TWIC Card is required or willing to get one
- 2+ years' proven driving experience required
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- No alcohol or drug convictions and no major accidents
- Willing to enroll the background check and MVR check
- Willing to take and pass the drug test
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations
