Big Picture Wellness, Smaller Community SettingJob DescriptionReporting to the Life Enrichment Director, we are seeking a Community Driver/Life Enrichment Assistant, who will be responsible for transportation for residents to and from doctor's appointments, local events and shopping, and assisting the activities team with setting up and conducting activities and programming for residents.
Candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a current Passenger Endorsement through the state of Connecticut.
An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required. All candidates receiving a conditional offer of employment will be subject to an MVR review prior to hire.
Ability to drive the community vehicle for resident outings.
High school diploma or higher education preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Willing to work flexible hours.
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications.
Physical AbilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics.

Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. Weekend availability required.Salary Range:
$21.50 - $22.00 HourlyResponsibilities and DutiesDrives residents to and from medical appointments, local events and shopping trips in a safe mannerEnsures the vehicle is inspected before each use to ensure it is safe and clean prior to leaving the communityEnsures preventive maintenance and all other maintenance required, it performed in a timely mannerVerifies that all passengers and their equipment (wheelchairs, walkers) are safely secured prior to departureKeeps an accurate record of all inspections, maintenance, and resident attendanceAssists in setting up tables/chairs within the community for resident activitiesConducts activities and programming for residentsParticipates in and attends all in-service training as scheduledEnsures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications One to two years related experience as a driver for seniors is preferred.Candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a current Passenger Endorsement through the state of Connecticut.
