Big Picture Wellness, Smaller Community Setting Job Description Reporting to the Life Enrichment Director, we are seeking a Community Driver/Life Enrichment Assistant, who will be responsible for transportation for residents to and from doctor's appointments, local events and shopping, and assisting the activities team with setting up and conducting activities and programming for residents.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. Weekend availability required.
Salary Range:
$21.50 - $22.00 Hourly Responsibilities and Duties Drives residents to and from medical appointments, local events and shopping trips in a safe manner Ensures the vehicle is inspected before each use to ensure it is safe and clean prior to leaving the community Ensures preventive maintenance and all other maintenance required, it performed in a timely manner Verifies that all passengers and their equipment (wheelchairs, walkers) are safely secured prior to departure Keeps an accurate record of all inspections, maintenance, and resident attendance Assists in setting up tables/chairs within the community for resident activities Conducts activities and programming for residents Participates in and attends all in-service training as scheduled Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications One to two years related experience as a driver for seniors is preferred. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a current Passenger Endorsement through the state of Connecticut . An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required. All candidates receiving a conditional offer of employment will be subject to an MVR review prior to hire. Ability to drive the community vehicle for resident outings. High school diploma or higher education preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication. Willing to work flexible hours. Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications. Physical Abilities While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell. An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics. Additional Information Benefits Offered(Full Time):
