Drivers on this account primarily shuttle refrigerated grocery freight between distribution facilities and relay yards. Most freight is drop-and-hook and no-touch, allowing drivers to focus on safe and efficient transportation. With multiple daily shuttle runs, consistent workloads, and opportunities for additional store deliveries, this position offers both stability and variety. Compensation and Benefits Average Pay of $70000 per year Home daily Dedicated grocery account No-touch shuttle freight Consistent year-round work Company-provided uniforms Stable work environment Long-term career opportunity Job Details Home daily Primary responsibility is shuttle operations Haul frozen grocery products in refrigerated trailers No-touch, drop-and-hook freight Average 5 to 10 shuttle runs per day Minimum of 3 shuttle runs required daily Store transfers, trailer moves, and local backhaul pickups may be required No deliveries into New York City May assist with supermarket deliveries and other company accounts as needed Additional Responsibilities Occasional multi-stop store deliveries Use of an electric pallet jack may be required Return product pickups and backhauls may be required Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections Inspect tractor and trailer tires Maintain strong customer service standards Operate safely and legally at all times Equipment Automatic transmission tractors Refrigerated trailers Slip-seat operation Modern, well-maintained equipment Trucks must remain at the account during time off Reliable personal transportation required Requirements Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to operate an electric pallet jack when needed Strong safety record Professional and dependable work ethic Good customer service skills
