Valid CDL Class A license (required) Current DOT Medical Card Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with a safety history Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred Experience operating 53, 48 & 26 trailers Working knowledge of local and regional roadways, traffic patterns, and delivery environments Communication and time management skills Skills & Competencies Safety-first mindset with strong regulatory compliance awareness Dependable, professional, punctual, and accountable in daily operations Route execution and time management skills Communication with dispatch, warehouse teams, and customers Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Attention to detail in documentation, inspections, and load handling Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment awareness preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company safety standards. Safely operate 53, 48 & 26 trailers across local and regional routes, including construction sites, warehouses, and customer locations. Ensure proper load securement in compliance with FMCSA cargo securement standards. Accurately verify and manage all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs), delivery receipts, and load confirmations. Execute pickups and deliveries on schedule while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability. Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or operational issues. Adhere to all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Represent the company professionally in all interactions with customers, vendors, and job site personnel. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, incidents, or violations immediately to fleet management. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of assigned equipment. Assist with basic loading/unloading, trailer positioning, and yard movements as needed.
