After-School Driver & Homework Assistant Tutor Zone Coral Springs, FL Job Details Part-time $18 - $22 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications Route driving Tutoring Driver's License Experience working with middle schoolers Working with students Full Job Description Tutor Zone is looking for a reliable, responsible, and friendly individual to join our after-school team for the upcoming school year. This position will primarily assist with transporting children from local schools to our Coral Springs Tutor Zone locations , with the opportunity to stay after transportation and assist students with homework and general after-school supervision. Schedule Monday-Friday Transportation hours are generally between 1:30 PM-4:30 PM Preferred availability: 1:30 PM-6:00 PM for candidates interested in also assisting with our after-school program Schedule can be flexible depending on availability Part-time position Driver Responsibilities Safely and efficiently transport children from school to Tutor Zone. Follow assigned pickup routes and maintain timely arrivals. Follow all traffic laws, speed limits, passenger capacity, seatbelt, and safety requirements. Ensure children remain properly seated and follow transportation safety expectations. Maintain a calm and professional environment while transporting children. Monitor student behavior and report concerns to a supervisor. Conduct pre-trip vehicle safety checks. Complete a walk-through after each route to ensure all children have exited and no belongings are left behind. Monitor fuel levels and report vehicle concerns or malfunctions. Follow proper emergency procedures in the event of an accident or breakdown. Keep the vehicle clean and remove trash at the end of each shift. Use cellular phones only when necessary for work-related, parental, or emergency communication. After-School/Homework Assistance Candidates available until 6:00 PM may also: Assist students with homework and assignments. Help supervise students during the after-school program. Maintain a positive, organized, and safe environment. Engage appropriately with elementary and middle school-aged children. Assist staff with general after-school duties as needed. Requirements Must be at least 21 years old . Valid driver's license with a clean driving record . Dependable and punctual. Comfortable driving and working with children. Able to remain focused while driving, even during periods of elevated noise. Patient, responsible, and professional. Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required. This is a great part-time opportunity for someone looking for flexible afternoon hours and who enjoys working with children.
