Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials across construction sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to the successful completion of construction projects, supporting various utility and excavation operations. MUST HAVE MANUAL ENDORSEMENT
Duties Safely operate commercial dump trucks to transport gravel, dirt, debris, and other construction materials across job sites. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of trucks and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Follow all federal construction safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and site-specific safety protocols during daily operations. Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities using specialized equipment before excavation activities commence. Support heavy equipment operation by coordinating with loaders, excavators, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery for excavation and grading tasks. Perform construction site duties such as grading, backfilling, and assisting with excavation projects as needed. Maintain detailed logs of daily trips, material deliveries, inspection reports, and maintenance activities for accountability and compliance purposes. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving within construction or utility environments. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs of trucks and auxiliary equipment. Skilled in construction machinery maintenance and basic repair techniques. Familiarity with excavation processes, construction grading, loader operation, backhoe operation, and excavator use. Ability to accurately locate underground utilities using utility locating tools in accordance with safety regulations. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Excellent understanding of heavy equipment operation including Caterpillar machinery used on construction sites. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and operational excellence.
