C.N.A-Transporter/Driver, Full-Time, Monday - Friday

Located in Deland, Florida the Alliance Community is a 25 acre faith-based community consisting of homes, apartments, assisted living buildings. Come and put your experience to work at the Alliance Community. We are looking to hire a Transporter. The Transporter will be responsible for scheduling resident doctor's appointments and transporting as appropriate. This position is normally a 40-hour workweek, but may occasionally have early morning and late afternoon appointments, as well as an occasional weekend appointment. Qualifications... Must have a valid certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant Valid State of Florida driver's license. The Transporter is expected to... Coordinate all new and follow up appointments for residents. Maintain all appointments on calendars. Ensure resident is properly dressed for trip outside the facility. Verify with nursing staff the doctor the resident is going to see and why. Carry all necessary paper work for the resident and be responsible for returning it to the appropriate nurse. Check progress notes and doctors orders in the doctor's office to be sure legible orders have been given. Be familiar with content and order of nursing charts. Responsible for the safe transport of residents and accompanying the resident at the doctor's office. Coordinate with resident's family members if appropriate. Ensure the appropriate paperwork is given to the doctor's receptionist and provide relevant information on the resident as appropriate.
