Job Description

PODS is seeking a safety-focused Local Class B CDL Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you'll operate a Class B commercial vehicle to deliver and pick up PODS portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. You'll run local routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, safely load and secure containers, and provide friendly, professional on-site service. Working within our customer-first, teamwork-driven culture, you'll partner with dispatch and operations to complete daily assignments, maintain compliance with DOT regulations, and support a safe, efficient, and reliable moving and storage experience. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class B commercial vehicle to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any maintenance or safety issues Load, secure, and unload containers following PODS safety and handling standards Provide courteous, professional service at customer sites, answering basic questions about PODS services Follow all DOT, company, and local traffic regulations while maintaining a strong safety record Use routing tools and logs/ELDs to manage daily schedules and document deliveries and pickups Collaborate with dispatch and warehouse teams to resolve issues and improve route efficiency Represent PODS' customer-first culture through reliability, accountability, and teamwork Required Skills Class B commercial driving Local route navigation Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Safe loading and unloading of containers Use of liftgates and loading equipment DOT and FMCSA compliance knowledge Electronic logging device (ELD) usage Customer service and communication Time management and route planning Paperwork and delivery documentation
