COMPENSATION
Driver earns 30% of eligible hauling revenue from completed loads, paid weekly. This is percentage/load-based compensation—not a $15-per-hour position. All compensable time remains subject to applicable minimum-wage requirements. B.O.S. Trucking & Site, Inc. is accepting applications for a part-time/on-call CDL Class A or Class B tri-axle dump-truck driver based in Fort Myers, Florida. We are finalizing the acquisition and launch of our first tri-axle dump truck. The selected applicant's start date will depend on completion of the truck acquisition, insurance approval, regulatory requirements, and available hauling work. Weekly hours are not guaranteed. The driver will perform local hauling throughout Southwest Florida, primarily in Lee County and surrounding areas. Work may include hauling dirt, sand, rock, shell, aggregate, construction materials, and other approved bulk materials for contractors, material suppliers, private customers, and government-related projects. Compensation 30% of eligible gross hauling revenue generated by completed loads Paid weekly as a W-2 employee B.O.S. will ensure compensation meets all applicable minimum-wage requirements for compensable working time Pay applies to eligible transportation/hauling revenue; material costs, taxes, disposal charges, toll reimbursements, and other pass-through expenses are excluded Part-time/on-call position with no guaranteed weekly hours or load volume Responsibilities Safely operate a tri-axle dump truck Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections Haul dirt, sand, rock, shell, aggregate, and construction materials Safely operate the dump body, PTO, tailgate, and related equipment Follow load tickets, dispatch instructions, weight limits, and delivery directions Maintain accurate driving, load, fuel, inspection, and delivery records Observe jobsite, quarry, pit, customer, DOT, and company safety rules Report defects, damage, warning lights, accidents, and maintenance concerns immediately Keep the truck reasonably clean and properly secured Remain professional when dealing with customers, contractors, suppliers, and jobsite personnel Required qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B Current DOT medical certification Legally authorized to work in the United States Acceptable motor-vehicle record and eligibility for approval by the company's commercial insurance carrier Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug test Must complete the required FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query and receive a "Not Prohibited" result before operating Knowledge of commercial-vehicle inspections and safe dump-truck operation Reliable transportation to the Fort Myers reporting location Ability to safely enter and exit the truck, inspect equipment, connect or secure components, and work outdoors in Southwest Florida conditions Preferred qualifications At least two years of verifiable commercial-driving experience Previous tri-axle dump-truck, construction-hauling, aggregate, quarry, or site-development experience Experience operating a manual transmission Familiarity with Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Naples, and surrounding Southwest Florida areas Clean or favorable driving and employment record Important employment conditions This is a genuine anticipated opening connected to B.O.S. Trucking & Site, Inc.'s dump-truck launch. Employment is conditional upon truck acquisition, available hauling work, successful insurance approval, review of driving qualifications, completion of required employment documentation, a satisfactory Clearinghouse query, and passing the required DOT drug test.
