You won't just be driving; you will be the face of our service, responsible for delivering, stocking, and merchandising 7lb and 16lb bags of ice directly into customer freezers, vaults, and indoor storage units. Key Responsibilities
Safe Operations:
Operate a Class B refrigerated straight truck safely through local routes, ensuring all DOT regulations and safety protocols are met. Full-Service Delivery:
Unload and carry 7lb and 16lb bags of ice into customer locations. Vault & Freezer Management:
Stock and "merchandise" customer units.This includes:
Organization:
Neatly stacking bags in outdoor vaults and indoor walk-in freezers to maximize space. Cleaning:
Ensuring the delivery area and ice units are tidy after stocking. Route Accuracy:
Manage delivery invoices, track inventory levels on the truck, and obtain customer signatures via handheld devices. Vehicle Maintenance:
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections; keep the truck cab and cargo area clean. Physical Requirements Repetitive Heavy Lifting:
Must be able to lift and carry bags weighing up to 16lbs repeatedly (often moving 50-200 bags per stop). Climate Flexibility:
Comfortable moving between a refrigerated truck (32°F), outdoor Florida heat, and walk-in freezers. Stamina:
This is a physically active "workout" role involving constant movement, bending, and reaching. Qualifications License:
Valid Class B CDL with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Medical:
Current DOT Medical Card. Background:
Ability to pass a DOT-mandated drug screen and background check. Preferred:
Experience in route delivery (beverage, food, or similar high-touch distribution).Job Type:
