Job Description

Truck Driver We are looking for a CDL (class A or B) driver who is passionate about the environment and doesn't mind getting dirty picking up food scraps throughout South Florida using our customized Mack MD7 dump trucks, pressure cleaning the organics recycling carts, hauling equipment between our sites and the like. This is a per diem position with possibility of turning into part-time and eventually full-time on a steady basis as the company grows. This current position is for a BACKUP driver on call. Hours vary depending on the route and day. They are generally starting at 5:30am and end when the route is done. Some days may only be a few hours vs some days may be 10 hours.
Mandatory duties involve:
  • Leaving the farm at or before 5:30 AM and following optimized daily routes in order to make it to stops in a timely manner.
  • Collecting food in the designated food collection carts at each location, thoroughly washing them out, returning them to their location, and logging records of how much you picked up.
  • Upon returning the truck to the farm, the food will be dropped at a designated composting site, the truck will be washed out, and then parked.
  • Preventative maintenance of truck and tools
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Pay:
