Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take the wheel in delivering essential freight across diverse routes! Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, managing logistics cargo handling efficiently while maintaining cargo integrity. Drive various types of trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or those transporting hazardous materials (hazmat), following hazardous materials regulations meticulously. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes for timely deliveries and adapt to route changes as needed. Transport automobile parts or other specialized freight via automobile transportation methods safely and securely. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations. Load & unload cargo at delivery points efficiently while ensuring proper truck loading and unloading procedures are followed. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any route or delivery issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various conditions. Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods regulations is a plus. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) routes. Ability to handle freight safely using manual handling techniques; experience with truck loading/unloading is desirable. Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Strong physical stamina for long hours on the road; ability to lift heavy cargo when necessary. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
