The ideal candidate will have experience securing loads, operating flatbed trailers, and complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. Key Responsibilities Operate a flatbed truck to transport materials, equipment, and other freight to designated locations. Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure safe operating conditions. Properly secure loads using straps, chains, tarps, and binders. Verify load accuracy and ensure compliance with weight and cargo regulations. Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and required documentation. Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and management. Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or delays promptly. Practice safe driving habits and maintain a clean driving record. Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening. Previous flatbed driving experience preferred. Knowledge of cargo securement procedures and DOT regulations. Ability to operate GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs). Strong attention to safety and detail.
