Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Over the Road Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver and embark on exciting long-haul journeys across the country! In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers to transport freight efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries to various destinations. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of loads. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, maintaining accuracy and care to prevent damage. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries, managing schedules effectively while adjusting for unforeseen delays. Maintain accurate records of driving hours, delivery logs, inspection reports, and freight documentation in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments. Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL A license for over-the-road routes. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely over long distances. Experience driving various types of freight vehicles including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Prior delivery driver experience with load & unload responsibilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery schedules. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling. Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo using forklifts or manual methods when required.
