Job Description
PODS is seeking a safety-focused Local Class B CDL Driver to deliver, pick up, and reposition our portable moving and storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this on-site role, you'll operate a Class B truck with specialized lift equipment, perform DOT-compliant inspections, and ensure secure, damage-free transport. You'll interact directly with customers, positioning containers at their locations and providing helpful, professional service. At PODS, you'll join a customer-first, team-oriented culture that values reliability, problem-solving, and accountability. This role offers hands-on experience in transportation and logistics, with opportunities for growth across our nationwide network. Responsibilities Safely operate a local Class B CDL truck to deliver, pick up, and reposition PODS containers Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure DOT and company safety compliance Operate lifting and placement equipment to position containers at customer locations Secure containers and loads to prevent damage during transport Provide courteous, professional customer service at each stop, addressing basic questions and concerns Communicate with dispatch to manage daily routes, schedules, and service updates Complete required logs, documentation, and basic reports accurately and on time Assist with yard organization, container staging, and basic equipment upkeep Follow all company safety policies and contribute to a safety-focused, team-oriented culture Required Skills Class B commercial driving Defensive driving and safety compliance Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Operation of hydraulic lift systems Local route navigation and GPS use Load securement and weight distribution Forklift and material handling Electronic logs and basic paperwork Customer service and communication Time management and scheduling
