Job Description
Vactor Truck Operator(CDL Required) Vactor Operator Performs skilled work operating combination vacuum/jetter (Vactor) trucks. General Functions Skilled work operating high-pressure vacuum/jetter equipment in the performance of assigned duties. Responsible for safe operation of vacuum/jetter vehicle and equipment. Responsibilities include cleaning of sanitary and storm sewer systems, performing routine safety checks and maintenance of the vehicle and equipment, as necessary. Work is assigned and reviewed by a designated supervisor. Performance is evaluated through progress of work and upon completion of desired results in a safe, efficient manner. Representative Duties /Assignments Operates high-pressure vacuum/jetter truck. Performs operations according to contract specifications. Exercises skills in manipulating equipment to properly perform tasks. Transports debris from work site to designated disposal facility. Performs routine safety inspection of assigned equipment. Performs minor maintenance duties to check oil, fuel, water and air as necessary, cleans and washes equipment. Performs other related work as required. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance vacuum/jetter trucks. Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Required to possess and maintain the appropriate valid Florida Commercial Driver's License for the type of equipment operated. Class B with Tanker endorsement a minimum. Must hold clean driving record with the State of Florida. Confined-space certification is a plus. Required within the first 6-months of employment. Travel within the State of Florida may be required.
