Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License A Over-the-Road (OTR) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across long distances, delivering freight efficiently and securely to various destinations. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with a valid CDL A license across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling. Drive various types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks as required for different freight types. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailer to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns. Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience with various freight types such as refrigerated loads or flatbed cargo. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks preferred but not required; ability to operate different vehicle configurations including tractor-trailers. Experience handling specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving, load securement, and safety procedures. Ability to load & unload freight safely using appropriate tools and equipment. Strong route planning skills with an emphasis on efficiency and safety during long-haul trips. $0.65 - $0.70 per mile
