Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver (non-CDL) to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to transport goods, materials, and packages to various locations. Your focus will be on ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs at customer locations or job sites Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices Verify delivery details and maintain accurate documentation of shipments, including delivery logs and route sheets Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies during all driving activities Communicate effectively using mobile devices or GPS systems to navigate routes efficiently and report any issues or delays promptly Assist with warehouse operations when not on the road, including inventory management and material handling tasks Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns Requirements Valid non-CDL driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is preferred Proven delivery driver experience, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving items safely in compliance with OSHA standards Knowledge of traffic regulations, DOT requirements, and weight handling in the workplace Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Comfort using mobile devices for navigation and communication during routes Strong organizational skills with the ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude at all times Join our team as a Box Truck Driver (non-CDL) and become an essential part of our logistics operation!
