Job Description
PODS is seeking a Local Class B CDL Driver to join our Transportation & Logistics team. In this on-the-road role, you will safely operate a CDL Class B truck to deliver and pick up portable storage and moving containers for residential and commercial customers. Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, safely loading, securing, and unloading containers, following assigned local routes, and adapting to traffic and weather conditions. You'll provide friendly, professional customer service at each stop, protect customer property, complete electronic logs and delivery documentation, and comply with all DOT and PODS safety standards. As part of a customer-first, safety-focused culture, you'll collaborate with dispatch and operations teams to solve problems, support your teammates, and maintain high service levels. At PODS, you'll build hands-on transportation, logistics, and operations skills with opportunities for growth across a nationwide network. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL Class B vehicle to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs Load, secure, and unload containers following PODS safety standards Interact professionally with residential and commercial customers on-site Follow daily route plans, adjusting to traffic and weather conditions Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies at all times Complete electronic logs, delivery documentation, and basic reports Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams to resolve issues Protect customer property and PODS equipment during all moves Support a customer-first, team-oriented culture with reliable performance Required Skills CDL Class B commercial driving Local route navigation and mapping Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Safe loading and unloading of containers Use of liftgates and material-handling equipment DOT and FMCSA compliance knowledge Electronic logs/telematics systems Customer service and communication Time management and route planning Incident and safety reporting
