Job Responsibilities:

Safely operate a tractor-trailer over regional and long-distance routes Transport refrigerated freight at the required temperature Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections Monitor the truck, trailer, and refrigeration unit throughout each trip Follow assigned routes and communicate delays or equipment concerns immediately Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with hours-of-service regulations Upload BOLs, PODs, lumper receipts, and other required paperwork promptly Record arrival and departure times for all pickups and deliveries Maintain professional conduct with customers, shippers, receivers, and dispatch Keep assigned equipment clean and return it in good condition Follow all company safety policies and FMCSA regulations Remain available for dispatch and complete a full workweek to qualify for guaranteed minimum pay

Qualifications:

Valid Class A CDL Minimum of two years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience Acceptable motor vehicle record Must meet FMCSA and Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements Ability to stay out OTR Strong communication and time-management skills Refrigerated freight experience is preferred but not required SAP drivers who meet return-to-duty requirements are encouraged to apply

Compensation:

Minimum of $2,000 per week when performance expectations are met and the driver remains available for a full workweek Percentage-based pay Potential earnings of $3,000-$7,000 biweekly $3,000-$5,000 sign-on bonus based on experience and eligibility Lay-N-Jaye LLC offers steady refrigerated freight, well-maintained equipment, in-house maintenance support, and direct communication with an experienced operations team.
