Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and reliable Driver to join our logistics team! As a Driver, you will be the vital link in delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers to transport freight across designated routes. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with logistics cargo handling standards. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Ensure proper securing of loads on trucks, including specialized cargo such as hazardous materials or refrigerated goods. Follow over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, adhering strictly to schedule while prioritizing safety at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation preferred. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with manual transmission experience preferred. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker trucks, or tractor-trailer configurations is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials handling, and dangerous goods transportation standards is essential. Experience with route driving across long distances (over the road routes) demonstrating strong navigation skills using GPS systems. Ability to manually handle cargo safely during load & unload operations while following proper procedures for truck loading and unloading. Prior experience working within logistics cargo handling environments or transportation companies is a plus. $25.15 - $30.29 per hour
