Job Description
Join Cleveland Clinic's Martin South Hospital where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world class and caregivers are family. This 100-bed hospital serves the communities in and around Martin County. Here, you will work alongside passionate physicians, nurses and other caregivers in a family-oriented, supportive environment . As a Driver on our team, you will help create a comfortable and safe environment within your community. In this role, you will transport a variety of materials between doctor's offices and other Cleveland Clinic facilities and teams such as Materials Handling. This opportunity will allow you to ensure timeliness in the delivery of equipment or specimens for patient care and diagnoses. All the while, you can pursue opportunities to keep advancing your career at Cleveland Clinic. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying 10-hour shifts between 4:30AM - 11:00PM. Availability Monday-Friday and rotating weekends and holidays is required . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Transport personnel, bulk supplies and mail between hospitals and ambulatory sites. Provide world class customer service and safe and efficient transportation to patients and caregivers. Maintain a clean and efficient transportation vehicle. Transport individuals to and from the parking lots to requested campus locations. Educate those requesting transportation, providing accurate information for pickup times and locations so there is no miscommunication. Perform other transports on campus and off-property as required and/or requested. Perform daily preventative maintenance of assigned vehicle completing maintenance checklists. Oversee maintenance records and upkeep of multiple company vehicles. Transport incoming US postal mail and inner-office mail between sites at prearranged and scheduled times. Follow departmental accident reporting and incident investigation procedures. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: High S chool D iploma or GED Valid D river's L icense (VDL) with no more than four points on record Eligibility of insurance as determined by CCF's insurance carrier's requirements Meet security clearance for confidential information General computer knowledge Non-smoker Ability to speak fluent English Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Experience in a similar position
