!!! Job Description GLE Scrap Metal, a leader in the metal recycling industry is looking for a Class A CDL Driver for our Tampa location. Equipment that you will be running will be small and large roll-offs and 45 foot flatbeds. Picking up from customers and taking material to Casselberry yard or to other processing facilities. These are all local pickups with no overnight stays. This position is a Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday. Overtime is available. Two years of Class A equipment operation is required, along with a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
Transport raw materials to processing plants. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet pickup and delivery schedules. Maneuver equipment into loading and unloading positions. Secure all loads with automated tarping systems or by using straps. Follow company safety procedures and attend all safety meetings. Obey all DOT regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a truck driver. Hands on experience in securing loads. Safe driving record. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations(traffic, weather conditions etc). Valid Class A license with medical card. Must have clear U S work status, be able to pass a background check, along with drug test and physical.
